Our ranks are based on a simplified and slightly modified WWI rifle platoon, with the main core of members filling the Private and Private First Class roles. Due to the nature of a rifle platoon, rank slots will be fewer, but we are looking into the idea of qualifying for vehicles, weapons, classes, and other in-game things that will still give you the satisfaction of progressing as a player and team member within The 89th Infantry Division, and earning some sweet awards and medals you can have in your signature on the site.
Ranks should not be a carrot for you to play with us, but simply a way to manage in-game operations and administrative duties.
Our roster and designations will simplify management, while improving in-game play. During game nights, each squad will be in its own Teamspeak channel. When receiving commands, Squad Leaders and Assistant Squad Leaders will work out how best to maneuver their squad in attacking or defending the objective. With SGTs and CPLs having each of their own in-game squads while in the same Teamspeak channel, this will allow for suppression and flanking movements, coordinated support, and other squad-based tactics that should improve game nights as a whole.
